Staal Vinterbo, a professor in biomedical informatics at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, shows how privacy is routinely violated online and suggests new ways to guard sensitive personal information. He also presents an example of a state-of-the-art privacy protection technique and how it could be used to inform HIV prevention efforts in San Diego.
