How do we conceptualize and study human-nonhuman interaction, broadly defined, without relying on the social/natural divide? When and where do we necessarily draw boundaries and define the spatial and temporal scales of this interaction? As we work in new ways to go beyond the disciplinary-specific objects of environment, politics, economics, society and culture, where do we find or attribute agency? How do we investigate "what is making what happen" in order to play a role in shaping it? (#27919)
