On the eve of his maiden season as head coach of the Cal Bears, Sonny Dykes offers a rare glimpse into his home, his philosophy of life and his unique brand of leadership. "A big part of my job," he says, is "to educate our players not only on how to play football but also how to get their degree, and how to handle themselves in a manner that everybody can be proud of off the field." In this video, Dykes allows viewers to see how he comports himself both on and off the field -- not just as a Pac-12 football coach determined to "get this program to the Rose Bowl," but as a father, a husband, a new California resident and a proud member of the UC Berkeley community.
