Skye Edwards grew up in California's central valley, spending summers working on her family's ranch. When it came time for college, it was a hard decision to leave her tight knit community but her passion for learning took her to UC San Diego, The recent grad looks back on her time in college, how joining the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) provided social and professional opportunities, and how she remained connected to her family while away at school.
