Innovation Crossroads: Creating a Policy Climate for Global Innovation in San Diego

7/3/2014; 112 minutes

The Atlantic's Steve Clemons joins Paul Jacobs, the executive chairman of Qualcomm, Greg Lucier, board chairman of the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute and US Rep. Scott Peters (D) for a discussion on how all levels of governments can better support the technology sector and what San Diego could do to become a global destination for increased innovation, capital, and talent. The event, sponsored by UC San Diego Extension and CONNECT, is inspired by the late Duane Roth, in tribute to his commitment to understanding the critical ways in which policy, industry, and innovation intersect.
