Rossini: Overture to “The Barber of Seville” - La Jolla Music Society SummerFest

1/21/2013; 9 minutes

Rossini's Overture to "The Barber of Seville" is one of the most loved and best recognized works in the classical/opera repertoire, thanks in part to its use in countless movies, commercials, and of course, a Bugs Bunny cartoon ("Let me cut your top/Let me shave your mop...". Renowned conductor Kent Nagano leads a stellar assemblage of chamber musicians in a spirited rendition of Rossini's masterwork. (#24597)
