Tribute to Arts and Humanities Producer John Menier
(1955-2022)

As one of the original television producers at UCSD-TV, John was instrumental in the launch of the station that grew to include the far-reaching UCTV. He worked with artists, musicians, and arts organizations throughout San Diego to bring viewers around the world insights into the artistic process and masterful presentations of many musical and dance performances.

A gifted and consummate filmmaker, John created beautiful performance-based videos and helped artists share their passions and processes through documentaries and insightful interviews. His work has been recognized with several Emmy Awards along with numerous national video awards for both his productions and his craftsmanship.
