Every Thursday and Friday evening in April beginning at 8:00PM (Pacific and Eastern), UCTV joins the Academy of American Poets in celebrating National Poetry Month with a unique selection of culturally diverse poetry-related programs ranging from intimate interviews to dramatic readings.

Rediscover the exciting form of poetic expression with voices from all walks of life, including U.S. Poet Laureates Billy Collins and Robert Hass, Pulitzer Prize winners Yusef Komunyakaa and W.S. Merwin, cutting-edge wordsmiths Li-Young Lee and Angela Jackson, and visits with international poets from India, Ireland, Africa, Portugal, and the Mexican immigrant communities of San Diego, just to name a few.
