The Alamo Scouts were an intelligence-gathering force of U.S. soldiers who were trained and equipped at secret camps in the South Pacific during World War II. These men were credited with over 120 successful incursions behind enemy lines without the loss of one man. On February 25, 2005, three surviving veterans of the Alamo Scouts were honored at UCSB and gave their recollections of what it was like to be an Alamo Scout. (#9900)
