Join Evan Snyder, M.D., Ph.D., from the Burnham Institute for Medical Research, for a look at the possible therapeutic benefits of neural stem cells (NSCs) in various mouse models of central nervous system (CNS) injury and degeneration. NSCs may migrate to degenerating regions, thus replacing dying neural cells and benefiting those with CNS injuries. In addition, NSCs may serve as vehicles for gene delivery and appear capable of simultaneous neural cell replacement and gene therapy. (#11333)
