Biographies Index
Percussionist, performer, instructor of percussion and contemporary music, theory and musicianship. Schick has performed as percussion soloist in the United States, Western and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. He has commissioned numerous works for percussion solo and for the percussion/piano duo he founded in 1975. Schick has recorded for Wergo, SonoTon (Munich), CRI and the University of Iowa Press. Among his prizes are the Fulbright, Kranichstein Prize from the Internationale Ferienkurse fur Neue Musik (Darmstadt, Germany), Gaudeamus International Competition (Netherlands), and the American Wind Symphony Competition (Pittsburgh), and the Bydgoszcz International Percussion Workshop (Poland). |
