Programs from Prenatal Health to Hormone Replacement Therapy
In celebration of National Women's Health Week, University of California Television (UCTV) will dedicate its Monday, May 15 health and medicine program lineup entirely to important women's health issues. The channel will also feature women's health programming specifically for health care professionals during its noontime (Pacific) "Med Ed Hour" on May 16 and May 18.
UCTV's National Women's Health Week program lineup on May 15 features experts from University of California's renowned medical schools at UC San Francisco and UC San Diego. The schedule includes (all times Eastern/Pacific):
8 p.m. "Becoming a Blessing" - The power of the feminine with Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen
9 p.m. "Healthy Women, Healthy Families: Prenatal Health" - Strategies for a women's healthy pregnancy and delivery
9:30 p.m. "Healthy Women, Healthy Families: Preconception Health" - Ways to best prepare for a healthy pregnancy and baby
10 p.m. "Health Matters: Women's Continence" - Cause and treatment of incontinence with Dr. Emily Lukacz
10:30 p.m. "MDTV: Hormone Replacement Therapy" - With Dr. Robert Langer, Department of Family & Preventative Medicine at UCSD
UCTV's "Med Ed Hour," which offers programming aimed specifically at health care professionals, also joins in the National Women's Health Week celebration with "Cardiovascular Update: Women and Cardiovascular Disease" on May 16 and "Women's Health and Quality of Life Issues After Breast Cancer" on May 18. All "Med Ed Hour" programs begin at noon (Pacific).
